You better put on those boots! Scotty do not I say do not accept any peanut butter sandwich!

Anyone driving a 2500HD must be poor!!!!!!!!!! What do you get for mpg on that beast! Nice looking truck though.

I looked in the parking lot and there was only one other pickup there when I was there. Thought the place would be full of Heavy duties with equip trailers behind.

Mornin Wayne,
With the Dodge I get, believe it or not  , 17.5 on a trip and around 13 mpg around town. Of course hills kind of kill your mileage ! ;) The motor is startin to loosen up a bit, we broke the 100,000 barrier a while ago ! :)

Towing the Red Beast or a fully-loaded dump trailer, I get about 9 MPG. With an unloaded trailer, it goes up to maybe 11 MPG. Plowing, I get as low as 7 MPG. The truck is strictly for business use only, so I have no idea regarding trailerless and/or highway driving. For personal use, I always use my ancient, rusting econobox.

My 2500HD is the stripped "work truck" version. Bought it on an advertised "loss leader" special from the area's most aggressive dealer with some very cheap financing. Couldn't afford the payments after my layoff, so I was forced to pay it off with my severance package. Trust me, it is nothing special!!!

Well I am still driving our 99 silverado Z-71 and it gets around 17 mpg on the road, much less around town. I drove a new HD last week, just for the fun of it. fully loaded high 30's but fun to drive. Just a bit out of my class.

The other vechicle is a Chevy HHR, so you can see we are on the low end of things here in New Hampshire.

My stripped '06 2500HD work truck was closer to half of that. I hope you are talking a diesel dually there... but I fear it's just a super-deluxe gasoline chariot!

Low end??? That's a brand new stretch limousine compared to my ancient rusting econobox!!! Lately, my GF refuses to even be seen in it. :(

Guess you'll find out when you pick her up............
Well, now it turns out that may not happen for a long while... if at all. :( TSC Merrimack called me today and it turns out that they never did order that missing PTO drive weeks ago like they said. Some kind of computer mix-up apparently and the order never went in. So the order just went in this week and now it's unclear when it will come in. They couldn't give me a date. I kinda sensed some uncertainty that it would arrive at all. Been there, done that before with TSC in CT on other products.

They offered to fix me up with a drive (and I assume a slip clutch) out of regular stock, but I wouldn't take it. Don't need no fit or warranty hassles due to a non-KK supplied PTO drive & slip clutch.

They also offered me the black Bondioli-Pavesi drive off the smaller tiller (I guess it never sold or maybe another one came in???), but I refused that as well. Given that folks have reported failures with the Bondioli-Pavesi drives, the last thing I want is one taken off of a smaller machine than the 72". Besides, I was kinda hoping for a leftover yellow Eurocardan as a replacement anyway. :D

Oh well... such is life I guess.

Just returned from TSC in nearby town. Bought a 3 pt hitch bale spear, King Kutter, which was over $100 less than the tractor dealers. Similar in quality. Most TSC's in my area are old, small and the employees are nice but don't really know much. I always look up the item on the web site and if it's there, I print out the item with stock number and take it with me to the store. Overall, better to have a TSC nearby than not.

You know I have been holding off on placing an order for a KK bush hog because they couldn't give me any idea when it would show up. So here I sit still looking. With the tiller you would think they would be able to call the main office and have one drop shipped from KK. You would think they would want to move product that they are sitting on especially spring and summer items.

I went down there and saw the shaft was missing. I have a B-7500 and decided that the 5 footer was maybe too big for my small tractor. I had planned on buying a 4' tiller and 4' bushhog. Wife said go ahead......and wouldn't you know they don't have either.

So I feel your pain.
