Yea but just look at the learning experiance you are getting.
Years ago when I got my Oliver 1550 it was old and a bit tired,
Right after I got it I changed the gear lube and hydraulic oil, after that the loader was quite weak.
When I drained the hydraulic hydraulics I saw how thick the fluid was and knew I had problems,
so a new pump took care of that for a bit.
Then moving snow one night broke a shift rail in the transmission, had to pull the hydraulics and top cover
and pto drive shaft and welded the shift rail in position in the transmission, re assembled and back going again.
Then went thru the head completely and did rings, bearings and seals to the engine.
She ran so much better ended up taking out the clutch, while replacing the clutch ended up rebuilding the hydro power
and replacing the pto drive hub and shaft.
These old tractors can still do the job but you will pull out some hair and cuss them for being a money pit at times,
but you can buy lots of parts for not very many payments and as long as you can do the work you'll come out ahead.
Unless you end up with spare tractors so you have one to use while repairing the others. :drink:
