I might end up doing just that. I use wood from the poplar family of trees for starter wood, but I had another larger one come down this spring and there is no way I need more starter wood.Can you just burn it in place?

Back when I first started my custom furniture/cabinet shop, a guy my friend knew, had a whole pickup load of cottonwood lumber stored in his garage.
