Trailer Upgrade

I have the Kaufman 22ft. tilt which I bought in May. I think it is a well made trailer although others may have different opinions, from the look of things at the factory they sell a lot of trailers. I looked for the net weight for you but unfortunately it was listed on the certificate of origin which I had to turn in to the Registry and as of today I have not received the title back.
Just going by memory I think it is in the mid 4000 lb. range which would leave you with over 10000 lbs of equipment you could load. I upgraded to the Uniroyal tires and had a spare tire installed. As of now I am very satisfied with my purchase.

One thing to note is a warning decal which states "Loading vehicles with a wheel base exceeding 96" may cause damage and is not recommended"

If you have any questions I would be happy to attempt to answer them for you.

While I can't comment on Kaufman tilt trailers, I do have one of their 20' 10k equipment trailers. I've had it a little less than a year and have been pretty satisfied with it. It handles well and the wiring is well done. The only real criticism I have about my trailer is that the paint and primer are very thin.

Looked at a used 2014 22' Kaufmann 20' steel deck tilt bed for sale today. Advertised new 10K tilt bed price on the Kaufmann site is $3990. Owner wasn't around but had a sign on it for marked down from $4995 to $4495. Apparently the seller wants to get the price he paid for it. It had a dented fender, One wheel and tire was replaced (wheel didn't match), top 3 holes of adjustable tongue had been cut off with a torch, no spare wheel/tire, no options at all. Owner wasn't home or I would have told him he was out of his mind. Kaufmann online price is good but then you have to add shipping to a delivery site (400-600) plus and off load fee (100-150) then you have to go pick it up. They ship trailers stacked (meaning several trailers stacked one on top of the other). Those fees could bring the price to $4740 plus any options purchased with trailer. They would deliver to me but I'd have to have a way to lift it off the pile of shipped trailers.

Also looked at several new BWise trailers. Bwise trailers are built by the co founder of Bri-Mar trailers. The Main Co. is in PA. The ones I looked at seemed very well built. Don't have pricing yet as they were closed today. All the ones looked at were 15K trailers. I may stop again tomorrow to get the sticker shock price. Here's a few pics. Third one is a 22'deckover tilt bed. Last two are the used Kaufmann.
My search goes on.

I went through the same thing. Looking used people wanted more for wore out junk than Kaufman new. PJ and Big Tex were thousands more. I would buy a PJ if running it commercial every day. I had a big PJ dump trailer for a few years, great trailer powder coat and scissor lift were worth a few more thousand.
In the end for me Kaufman has been a great deal ( 2 years of use ). I can drive to factory and pick up so no shipping cost. Others who live further away it may not add up.
If I need another trailer ( which I doubt ) Kaufman will be the first place I look.
I haul my BX 2200 and Kioti 45 both at the same time on my Kaufman 24 tilt twice a month during mowing season. Nice to haul 2 tractors at the same time. Good Luck in what you decide.

I can load my tilt not hooked to truck. No chance with flat bed trailers, not sure how other people do it.

I have both loaded and unloaded the 22' with supported flip down ramps with no issues. The car hauler, not a chance. CJpc rocks trl 011.jpg
