This is a good chance for your dealer to put you on a new tractor and use their slow shop time to fix this one. I'd be surprised that doesn't happen, but then maybe they make more getting the money from the insurance company.

I have had a bad day to say the least. I was cutting firewood this morning and the tree I was cutting fell on the tractor. I know I am a bonehead. It got hung up in another tree and changed directions on its way down. Halfway through the cut I even thought about that happening and then decided that it was unsafe to move the tractor. Will the insurance cover this even though i am at fault? Here are some pics for those of you who want to feel my pain. My great neightbor helped me load it onto my trailer and get it out of the woods. I am guessing $2500 damage anyone else have an estimate? No damage to the hood or right fender. Destroyed the entire dash. Fortunately the left tire absorbed a lot of the fall otherwise I think it could have broke the tractor in half! Ruptured the fuel tank (that I just filled) and bent the loader valve handle. The good news is that I will have an hour meter that reads 0000 again.

Sorry to hear aout your misfortune. I flipped to the last page of the thread to see if you had answered if they would pay or not but didn't see an answer.

My guess is that the HO policy will not py as most tractors, boats, etc require additional 'floater' coverage on a HO policy but I'd really like to hear what the ins. co. does in your case.

Good luck and I 'hope' it will be a covered loss.

when I bought my tractor, the first thing I did was contact my agent.

He told me it was covered as long as it was on my property.

Now after reading this, I may re think getting the rider on it, as much as I go help neighbors, I it starts to scare me.......

OHHHHH MANNNNN I have a B7800 the same age. Pictures made me sick too. To bad though that it did not hit the seat. Getting a new (more comfortable) seat would be worth it. That seat really is a pain in the *** :laughing::laughing::laughing:
