That really is a breathtaking repair bill. I'll bet it was the steering column that blew the budget.

That, and possibly the fact that Kubota offers the complete care insurance package that fortunately covers 'mishaps' and owner stupidity, (the OP's words). These costs get reflected in overall parts costs, eventually, as do insurance claims on other items like cars, houses, etc. We pay for insurance coverage, and when companies pay out they figure their payout costs into the products sold in the future, so we are always on the hook for the costs one way or another.
I think I win, since I estimate the repair cost to be the deductible amount only, that the OP has to pay.:confused3: Insurance covers the rest. But I'll let grs take it; I was just in Bucks County visiting friends last May, and in Lambertville, NJ too seeing some 'ole stomping ground....

Dang. I wish I saw this sooner. Easy $3K. Have you guys had much work done in a crunched car lately. Now it's mostly remove and replace. Part costs eat you up.

WOW!!!

It would be cool to see an item breakout on costs.

I am betting it is that metal "support" you can see it pretty good in the third photo.

Looks like a pretty big part.

Yup I will be the first to say it was stupid and preventable but I guess most accidents are.
Forty years old paying for other peoples stupidity most of my life well I guess it was my turn. I just hope I don't start making a habit of it. I am 30 minutes North of Lambertville.

When I get it back I will get the itemized receipt. I'm guessing the hood and the metal bulkhead were some expensive parts as was the instrument panel.
