Tree Puller?

That's an interesting design. I would think you lose a lot of "power" with it so far out in front of the loader, however I know you have around 5k lb lift capacity so for you I guess it doesn't matter  Right, pops em right out!

Did you come across any tree pullers that are meant to be used on a 3 point hitch? I think any of them could be adapted. This heavy duty one could be built for a 3 point, call Koeckeritz, he will do it.

Also, did you get a price for the Tree Terminator? I'm interested in that style, they don't list a price on their site.

I paid $4750 for the 7' Rotary Mower in October of 2010, They were on eBay, but I got mine from Darwin Phifer, one of the Grace Manufacturing dealers. He would probably remember me and the Versahandler in Oklahoma, he delivered it. http://www.phiferequipmentsales.com/blog/

Thanks for the info, that's a little out of my attachment budget. :D

Make detachable jaws for your log splitter, then mount it sideways on the loader or 3-pt. :)

I've never saw that design either. Wouldn't work very good on a tractor, but would be okay on a skidsteer. Even then, I think you'd get tired of getting it positioned on a tree. A couple weeks ago I pulled over 100 trees for my neighbor in 3 hours. I was tired of hitting the tree with my V design puller, can't imagine having to squirm myself onto everyone of those with this design. But if it works great for you, that's what's important!!!

Yep brand new design. I was afraid that I would break the V design puller, but Koeckeritz said his Long Arm Puller would hold up on the V417.

I grabbed a big tree to see if I could pull it, raised the back of the Versahandler off of the ground, didn't faze the puller!

But it broke the tree when I rocked forward, to loosen the roots.

Note the bend in the trunk right below the puller.

I was worried that I would have trouble getting the clamp around the trunk, but it opens to 8", and with 4 wheel steering I just drive up next to the trunk and turn right. Then grip and pull.

I guess everyone realizes these pictures were taken sitting in the seat, so it is what I see out the windshield.

Yes, that is the one I meant. Any idea what the price of that one was?

That's a pretty good idea regarding the log splitter!

Some tree puller pictures from last month.
A small cedar tree, the view from the seat.

Shook the dirt off of the roots.

The trunk on this one is too big for the pullers 8" opening, but is mostly dead, with some new growth at the old break.
Grabbed one of the new limbs, and the old trunk broke at ground level.

Moved it to the burn pile yesterday.
