Tree Puller?

Made a three castor dolly for the tree puller.

Now I can keep it inside and roll it to the back door to hook it up.

The tree puller weighs 284 lbs.

Used the tree puller on the biggest cedar tree that I have tried to pull so far. It is about 5" in diameter.

Raised the rear end when I tried to pull it straight up, so I curled down while pulling up and moving forward. That broke some roots loose. You can see the crack in the ground.



Curled up while pulling up and moving backwards. That broke some roots on the other side.


Went forward again and it started coming up.


Raised the boom, the cedar came out of the ground and brought another tree with it!


Shook the dirt off of the roots and the other tree fell to the ground.

It looks to be about 3" in diameter.

1 pull, 2 trees!

This is a very cool tool, but I assume there is not much chance that my little Kubota L3940 with skid steer QC and third function for a grapple could begin to utilize this attachment.

What do you think?

I don't think flow is an issue but limited lift capacity of the loader seems to be the biggest limitation.

I don't think flow is an issue but limited lift capacity of the loader seems to be the biggest limitation.

Right on flow, it doesn't matter how fast it closes. Lift capacity is the main thing. Try removing the bucket and use a chain on some 3" trees and see what it will do.

It depends on what type of tree you are pulling.

It should do well with this style, but might be hard to see the trunk from the tractor seat.

Pulling these with a chain is not fun! :laughing:

That is why I got the long arm puller.

I have two 20 acre pastures that are full OA these little bast{}ds

They are too small to push over because the trucks bend and the tree shear leaves the stumps behind so I won't be able to disk for a couple years.

That is why this thing looks like the perfect tool if it would work on my kubota. Guess I could rent a skid steer for a few weeks

If you have a set of forks, these might work, cedar trees don't have a big tap root, so they pull fairly easy.

If you don't have forks, it would be a reason to get some!

If your loader won't pull it, you can drive forward and pull it out.

It might cost less to buy something that you can get the smaller trees, then rent a skid steer for the rest.

Many years ago I had this on a MF240D 3 point.

It was too much of a hassle backing up to each tree, so I turned it around. any tree that I could drive over it would pull out.

Let us know what you come up with.
