If you get hydraulic rotation of the head do you need two 3rd function circuit to loader boom?

Open / close shear circuit.
Rotate head circuit.

Both of my tractors only have a single 3rd function circuit to loader.
No, the attachment has a diverter valve built in.

Skid Steers and compact telehandlers have the control switches and connector plug built in.

Some manufacturers use a wireless remote for controlling cutting or rotation.

Thanks for the clarification Xfaxman. So, on your Compact telehandler, the outlets are at top of your boom?

Yep, out at the end of the boom near the SSQA plate.

Flat faced couplers and the electrical connector has a screw-on cap with a small chain on it:

Since this is the "Tree Shear" thread I will add on Edit, the Cedar Tree Cutter plugged into the aux hydraulics on the boom:

Having to explore in there would not be a good thing. :)

Yep, got a little nervous when I saw all those hose connectors in there that could leak.

Probly don't wanna own it when all those hoses have flexed their maximum.

No other way to design such a system. Potential failures are many hours down the road. :)

Spent all day Sunday and Monday working on my project. Put the shear on a John Deere track loader and grapple on b26, and used the M5400 with a landpride brush mower. We got a lot done but the small stuff takes quite while, guess we should have started this project about 10 years ago.
On the large cottonwood I could get through them a little better with the track loader as it has about 3300 psi vs the B26 has about 2500. With the track loader I could drag out the large trees to the open area for the Kubota to handle them. Took a few videos but can't get them to load on the app?
All in all very happy with the grapple.IMG_20180205_092939676_HDR.jpgIMG_20180205_141613646_HDR.jpgIMG_20180205_093009296_HDR.jpgIMG_20180205_131150299.jpg
