Trouble loading TBN today!

Still happening now at 6:30 EST. I saw a lot of double-post's also in some forums...

Well..
I tracked it down--
the problem is the upstream provider for TBN..

They did some major upgrades last night and it did not go smoothly..

the reply box took some time to open even

my guess is it doesnt blink any more often than most sites this size

still worriesome when you need your tractor fix

a cheaper way than to crank up the iron horse for no good or even half-good reason

yea--
I am still playing detective..
BUT-- from what I see the Internet routing is still going up and down on this one... It's what we call in the penalty box.. parts of the Internet are not allowing traffic to the end user... when a route annoucement is pushed and pulled back over a certain period of time and it matches the "penalty box" criteria the Internet peering points (IE AT&T and others) will pull the routes from annoucing it to their customers to prevent problems until the issues stabilize...
In this case, the maintenance window to replace the core routers went south and it could take another 2-4 hours for it all to be stable again since the flapping happened in the last 2 hours.. kind of like a water ripple....

From what I see, my ISP directly connects to the ISP at TBN in Chicago..
So I am getting slightly better response.. but the BGP routing session between my carrier and the TBN provider is going up and down...

I suspect they have a few issues with the new Brocade routers they are using....

From what I see, I would guess it is a good bit bigger than just TBN...

a /19 IP block is 8190 addresses... -10% for routing overhead.. and they could be affecting a TON of websites...

When I could not load the site from my bookmark...I could load it from the IP address...which usually indicates a name server issue, but not always...
