I stopped by my dealer's to say hello as I was in the neighborhood...and there was a L3130 in the showroom. Had a chance to sit on it, and I must say that it is REALLY bigger than my B2910...considering that it is only 2(?) hp bigger.

I notice that you [the original poster...forget your handle] have not yet driven a L3130 yet...be sure to look at one before you make your decision. Or at least I think that was the case after this thread started. May be different now...

The manager/salesman told me he has trouble equating the L3130 to other brands hp/size wise. He spit out some other tractors by number but it was in one ear and out the other for me. Apparently, the L3130 is bigger than the L3010...

I do remember him saying that he thought the 3130 was almost too big for the HP of the engine that is in it. And also that it will take a 9 foot backhoe, that the 3ph lifts something like 2600 lbs, and the loader also lifts about twice what a B2910 does.

As far as the 3rd funtion is concerned I would get it now and aiso get the electric diverter valve for 4th and 5th remotes if you go Green. At one time orange didn't have a hydraulic lift for a mmm, they used mechanical linkage, not sure today.

I would like to go to a Kubota dealer and look at one of them L3130's. My problem is Kubota had a dealer here but Kubota made him stop selling Kubota's. The dealership also had a place in another town like 60 miles away and he was registered to sell Kubota there but not here. It is kind of weird, they don't have a dealer at all here but they won't let the guy 60 miles away sell here. Now this dealer has a shop for Bobcat and all kinds of other stuff so why not let him sell it here. I could understand if there was another dealer here first, but there isn't and this guy sold a lot of stuff.

DHCMD-You are doing the right thing. This is a major purchase. I think you will be presently surprised when you try out the 3130.. Kubota has done a fine job with this tractor.
The 3130 will be worth the wait.

murph...looks like yer stuck!

found the link, thanks, a fourwheeler is in the mix (actually, this purchase is the tractor, FEL, MMM, a 4 wheeler, and horse trailor)....I'd call it the completion of the farm buying package. I'm heading back up the the Deere dealer tomorrow, and look at the green one more time, the Grand L Kub still hasn't hit the lot here in Murray, but I'm really lean'n towards the Deere anyway...
