Trying to construct a 3rd function

Just the switch...should be attachment point on valve. You'll need to tap power from somewhere..my fuse panel was right there and convenient.

Sounds simple enough, thank you again. Getting it all ordered now.

I went with this valve and the same do3 sub plate your looking at
12 VDC 21 GPM ARGO RPE3-6 DA HYDRAULIC DO3 SOLENOID VALVE | Solenoid Valves | Hydraulic Valves | Hydraulics | www.surpluscenter.com
Only reason was it was able to handle a much larger flow and pigtails instead of a bulky connectors. I have been very happy with it for the past 6months, its a very good quality valve made in Europe. I also opened up the ports in my sub plate I wanted as little restriction as I could get since my power beyond circuit also runs my backhoe when I have it mounted and if there is a lot of restriction it will create much more heat.

Do you by chance have a wiring diagram for that valve? I bought the same you did and it didnt come with anything and google isnt helping me find one. I have everything installed and plumbed, just need to get the wires connected, hopefully without frying something. Thank you.

No wiring diagram needed just put 12v across the legs on the side you want to move does not matter on the polarity. On Mine I grounded 1 leg from each side then wired my +12v from my rocker switch top of rocker to one side and bottom of rocker to the other side 12v to the center of the rocker.

Great info guys. I am in the process of doing the same thing with my tractor. I have the parts just need (I think)to install it. The below link is the valve and subplate that I have. I believe it is correct but would appreciate if someone could verify that for me. There are 3 connections inside the DIN connector for the wiring but it came with out a wiring diagram. I'm not sure of the exact configuration to wire this so help on that would also be appreciated.

Update.......everything works! Took a little figuring out on the wiring part and getting a 12v line close by was a bit of a challenge but not bad for a couple evenings install time. Huge thank you to all that have helped me along the way........been researching and asking questions for a month. Considering what I saved, I dont regret it at all.

dealer installed $1200 plus tax
wr long kit $900 shipped
my kit $360 various shipping included

What you have looks good to me, but Im far from the expert on this.

Good to hear it's all working. What did you finally use for your electrical switch and how did you wire it. I'm sure it's simple and I'm just missing something. Like I said there are 3 connections on each solinoid on the valve. I would have thought it should only need 2 on each solinoid

This is the switch I used.

Amazon.com: VIPER Replacement ATV / UTV Mini Rocker Handlebar Switch - All Winches: Automotive

On my valve there were 2 wires on each solenoid (4 wires total), I grounded one wire from each solenoid and the other 2 were were connected to the switch. The switch has 3 wires coming out of it, 1 red one goes to a 12v source and the other 2 are control wires (1 black and 1 green)that were connected to the 2 remaining wires from the solenoids. I just switched the black and green till the switch worked in the direction I wanted then crimped them together.

Here is a thread that cleared up a lot for me. Post #20 has a picture that helped me with wiring.

I forgot to add this suggestion. I see you have a 2017 tractor, I dont know how close you are to your 50 or 100hr service but if you are planning to change the fluid I would do it after you install the 3rd function. With moving lines around and getting fittings tight enough I lost fluid getting everything done, but didnt really matter because I was changing it all anyways.
