TSC Premium UTF on sale 1/3 off ...

Just got a circular from TSC and their UTF is on sale for $21.99 for a 5 gal pail... [ says save $13 ].. You get to keep the pail, too....!!!!!!!! Life is GOOD....

I think it's a different product, in a black bucket, the sale stuff I've seen at TSC is always in a yellow bucket and iirc does not say TSC or their "Traveller" line on it. This is from past sales, I have not seen a recent "flyer" for this sale.

TSC does a lot of regional everyday and sale pricing. I always check the one near work against the one near home and often find differnt pricing.
The one near home has the Traveller's Premium UTF REg. 34.99 Sale 21.99, Work is Reg. 32.99 / Sale 24.99

Does anyone have any input from a dealer or Mahindra that this is an acceptable alternative to whats listed in the owners manual ? I know Travellers lists it for Mahindra, but that doesn't mean Mahindra says it's OK. I've had a couple of hydraulic issues in the past and still have some time left under warranty and don't want to give them any excuses to deny a claim by using a non approved fluid.

Yes, if you change ' MY STORE ' to the one south of me in Gaylord, then you will get the Galord TSC UTF prices... Nice to know that companies charge different prices for the same stuff for different folks. Amazon used to do it... maybe still does.....

If you are worried about the warranty just buy the Mahindra brand stuff. The Premium fluid from Tractor supply is good stuff and the big reason it is used is the price. These tractors are delivered around the world and a lot of them are nowhere near a dealer or a completely stocked parts department. Fluids and oil quality is never guaranteed. They basically use what they can get. Pretty much any name brand fluid you buy here in the states should work just fine.

Went into the big city of Gaylord this morning and bought 20 gallons of UTF at TSC. Brought them home and stacked them in the back of my barn. 2555 is due next Spring, and the 5035 probably next fall. Stretch a Wally plastic bag over all my 5 gallon pails, keeps the tops clean....

I think that the tax thing is going to vary from area to area.

The five states with the highest average combined state-local sales tax rates are Tennessee (9.45 percent), Arkansas (9.26 percent), Alabama (8.91 percent), Louisiana (8.91 percent), and Washington (8.89 percent).

For me either 7.75% or 8% depending which town I go to.

I think the Premium is multigrade and the much cheaper yellow bucket is '303', an old spec single weight oil that's sold everywhere. My 30+ year old Yanmars specify 'John Deere 303 or equivalent' so I run that in the geared tractor and the backhoe, but use the better multigrade Traveller Premium in the Powershift tractor. (basically an automatic transmission less a torque converter, with hydraulic control circuits and clutch packs).

I've also bought 303 at Autozone, theirs is in a green bucket. Same specs and manufacturer, Warren refinery.
