The turfs you are refering to are called diamond tread. They are VERY tough. I have a set on my 5020 and have mowed through mesquite country for 14 years with them, literally cutting down 10's of thousands of small trees. A 1/2" mesquite may have 20+ 2" thorns on it. I took one in for the first time for a flat just a few months ago. It had 2 thorns in it after all those years. Strangely enough, after I learned how, I have almost eliminated my mesquite trees, and then I get the flats from them. I love these tires. They are tough. I've had folks here think I was lying about there toughness, but believe as you might. I've also pulled a 5' disc with them for years. All that and I can mow my yard w/o tearing it up.
The other tire got cut on the sidewall from something flying out of the shredder. I had a boot put on it untill I find another in that size. My tire guy says it won't last on the sidewall. Shaley, I didn't see them in the firestone catalog or website, nor did my tire guy. Where did you see them? Mine are brigestone, so basicly the same. I saw on the NH site that Titan may make some similar. I need 13.6X16.
