Today I gave the front turf wheels some tubes as the tired are perrished, not really needing a set yet but they might come in handy so I set about repairing the one that had rusted through, I managed to beg some steel from an old electrical cabinet that was the correct thickness then cut out the old part and replaced and mig welded the new section in.

Considering how long I have had theseI should have dont it far sooner as it only took about an hour or so, I will wait until I find a set of tires at the right money then give the wheels a paint.

That's some serious garbage you have to work with... And you have got some serious skills there to fix it... I wish you were my neighbour... ;)

Hi ChrisMac.
I have a tx2160 and have just acquired the same front loader. I知 looking to understand how to connect up the hydraulics. Any pointers?

Hi, there is a hydraulic block under the seat which the pipes are plumbed into, althought I have the set up its all been removed to get cleaned up and I need to have long think about how it goes back together, 2 years have passed, I did take lots of photos so hopefully that will help.

Sorry I can not be more of a help.

Thanks Chrismac. I think I have the hydraulic side of things sorted out... which may well mean I dont

What I definitely dont have is the frame that the loader u shaped bracket sits on. Do you have any pictures of yours? Im going to attempt to make one....

I have had a look if you study the photos in post 3, you can make out the flat bars that run the lenght of the tractor, bolted onto the lower engine mounts, the back hoe then connects onto channel irons with a pin and a lynch pin to keep it located with a bar along the back end and forks for it to also connect as the rear has the main weight of the back hoe,
I am planning making a start at this again so will manage to get some pics over the next while, it was August last year you asked so I might have some time to help you out:drink:

Thanks. I never was accused of moving quickly!

The difficulty that I have is that my tractor is in Ireland and I am in Manchester. I have bought the front end loader here... but did not get the frame with it. So I have got to make a frame here and transport it to Ireland.... where it will absolutely fit. There is not a doubt in my mind.

I do have the original parts catalogue, service manual and operation manual and a tape measure.

My hydraulic set up is the same as yours too. I have plenty of pics of it, if you need any.

Here is a picture of the flat bars that run the length of the tractor, if you only have the front loader you wonty need them full length.

Not much use I know but gives you an idea of what I had, hopefully you will see from other pictures how it was made up, not easy to fabricate and take to Ireland and fit first time, good luck on that one.

I have tried adding pictures which help, I dont have access to the parts at the moment, I will at some point though.

Cheers for the offer of photos of you hydraulics, that might come in handy.

Other folks have commented on this, but where was that tractor located when you found it, a jungle in Borneo? I have seen a lot of old farm machinery, but I have never seen anything with rust like that. You are a champ for committing to bringing at least one of those tractors back to life. Keep up the good work and good luck.
