Lemmesee ....

A multi-national corporation that has been making tractors for 50+ years vs. a regional church/family store that has been selling them for about two years.

Who's pulling the strings?

You forgot about how the "multi-national corp" got there!

They got there by supplying what all the "buyers" want... in this case RK...

Until I read this thread, I had never heard of an RK tractor. I looked up their site, and I understand why. Their nearest dealer is roughly 2,000 miles from me. Appears to be strictly an east coast tractor.

All the ag chain stores are eastern US only: RK, Agri-Supply, Farm and Fleet. There's probably more I'm forgetting.
CA is the biggest ag producer state but all we have are TSC and the two within driving distance are disappointing.

Well that answers that question I had for the Acquisition....get the Cummins License Branson has and put the engines in TYM tractors. On different engines in different tractors, some engine mfgrs built for a niche market. If an OEM is building tractors to cover a broad market and wanted to maximize everything then it's easy to see that you would have a rainbow of engines for the rainbow of tractors that Branson for one, manufacture.

"...............rainbow of tractors that Branson for one, manufacture". Er-ah scuse me: That Kukje manufacturers for Branson and other colors.

Yes Kukje, the ones that actually build the 6R, 6M and 6E series for John Deere and got the license from Cummins to build their engines.

For now, I know they don't use Kukje engines. But they will eventually have to sell newer or upgraded tractors and will most likely come with Kukje engines.

I see no point on TYM making tractors with Yanmar engines just for RK since TYM just started the swap over to Kukje engines.

Why not? TYM actually builds the Mahindra engines for the Mahindra tractors built by TYM. My Mahindra 2655 has a TYM badge on the engine block but it is Mahindra's design. If TYM is contract building tractors for RK then they would have whatever engines in them RK specifies.
