All the links go to stories written before February, not one tells of a destroyed engine. A plug filter is a long ways form a destroyed engine. To say biodiesel destroyed engines is a lie told by people who work for oil companies. They were some problems early on, most caused by oil companies trying to say I told you so. Most of the problems had by people who bought their fuel at the cheapest places. Those who bought good quality fuel had no problems.

This brings back memories of the early 90's when California went to a lower sulphur diesel. Some trucks were having pump failures which they instantly attributed to the lower lubricity of the lower sulphur diesel, which may or may not have been true. The real story was that very few if any of the pumps were new, they were quite old and were in need of rebuilding. The lower sulphur diesel may have hastened it, but the conclusion was the pumps were already beyond their normal life expectancy and in need of the standard injector pump rebuild. Once rebuilt, we never heard these "horror" stories again and the subject has never made it to the news again. It's typical to find blame and pin it on anything other then where it belongs.

I like the idea of getting into all kinds of alternative energy, it will take time, but in the end, the US as well as other countries will be better off then sticking to the one and only fossil fuel. The fuel/oil industry has at least two black eyes, right or wrong.
