I thought ERR-008 error was water in the fuel (page 4-32 in your owner's manual). Unplug the fuel sensor at the bottom of the fuel filter and spin it out until the water pours out, then tighten it back up again. Prime the fuel system again and go start up the engine.

Thanks Eric I'll give this a try if I see it come up again.

No it’s not Eric , the dash cluster has a light that illuminates if the sensor detects water. Look at the photo you attached, it clearly says what 008 is.

Not sure I understand your response. From the picture Eric attached, it says error code 008 is "No Signal at Water IN FUEL input". I'd take that to mean there's an issue with water in the fuel. Are you saying it's an issue with sensor signaling (as in no voltage detected) vs. sensor activation (as in water in the fuel)?

Yes that’s what I’m saying.

Ah, okay. I think it's easy to make an assumption either way, given how poorly the manuals are written.

Just Trying to save you some time here...concentrate on the Safety Interlocks in the tractor:
Seat Switch
Range Switch
Pedal Switch
PTO Off
Etc.
If the Safety Controller does not see Safety Start, it won't send a signal to the ECU for "Tractor Ready". This is the condition that will cause the 007 and 008 Error Codes. We have even seen where a faulty tail light harness will cause this (Error 008) since it is on the Brake Pedal, which illuminates the brake lights when the pedal is pressed for "Safety Start" condition.

Hope this helps,

On that note my tractor is stopping or trying to when I'm going through bumpy terrain. Turns out since I'm about 130-140 lbs when I hit a bump it's just enough to raise myself off the safety switch so the tractor thinks I'm getting off and then tries to shut off. I understand its purpose though.

This is a annoying issue that i didn't have I'm my DK40. I have not found a work around and the dealer won't tell me if I were to ask and I cant same I blame them but it's an unpleasant ride when your getting jerked around.

If it's the seat switch, a small piece of wire jumpered between the seat switch wire contacts will resolve that. You can at least test the seat switch using this method, to actually figure out if that's what is causing the issue. Easy enough to switch back to the original "safe" configuration.

It is the safety seat switch for fact. I thought about what you mentioned. I'll have to locate the switch or plugs and see if I can access them.
