Understanding Error 008

Should be easy to find the plug near the base of the seat.

No itç—´ not Eric , the dash cluster has a light that illuminates if the sensor detects water. Look at the photo you attached, it clearly says what 008 is.

I've had ERR-008 two times. I pop off the electrical connection to the fuel filter, drain the water out of the fuel filter, hook everything back up, prime the fuel filter and carry on my marry way.

What I can tell you is that the ERR-00X codes are nowhere meantions anywhere in my service manual. In other words, The error code is acting like the light in the dash, but that water light has never lit up on my dash--even when I've had water in my fuel.

I've seen 008 on mine a few times since it started acting up and there has never been any water in the filter. As I mentioned earlier my dealer said when there are other codes there sometimes are random ghost codes that show up.

I panned through the manual and there is a warning lamp for water in the fuel. It states a buzzer sound and light will go off when approximately 45 cc of water is accumulated in the fuel filter.
