Unfair Competition

So, what kind of "attachment" is a Tesla? Can you drag it behind a John Deere like a boxblade? Why does the OP think his rant against NC belong in the Attachment forums of TBN? Is it because he is looking for "location, location, location" to vent his whine where it will get the most views? A Chinese member talking about his farming and agricultural products might belong here, but I have serious doubts that any useful information about attachments will be gleaned in this thread about Tesla automobiles.

Personally, if you can afford a Tesla, you can afford the airfare to go to California and buy yourself one. Then you can drive it home through rural America and watch all those real people using their real attachments on their tractors.:D

Obviously, a Tesla is an emotional attachment. :p

I found most interesting the earlier comments about not restricting technology that feeds people.
Try and tell that to Monsanto.

Still not clear when competition becomes "unfair". How do the Cain Brothers differentiate their subsoiler that I own, a marvelously sturdy tool, from someone else's subsoiler? There sure isn't much to it. Or how does Ted at ETA create a difference in his products so that he isn't accused of copying.

I think farmers plows have been around before Christ. Not sure how one can come up with anything original when building a product that has been built for thousands of years.

You made a fine point. The earliest Plows were made from Wood. If memory serves me correctly, Wasn't the manufacturing of a more advanced plow share, the start of John Deere? BTW, some farmers in other countries still use wooden plows.

That is about the truth there, most recent one I heard was they sued a farmer in IN or IL that bought feed and planted it then fed it to the hogs. They won 3 million bucks from him as he didnt buy their seed to plant.... It is also illegal to keep last years seeds you harvested it has to go back and you have then buy more seed from them... This is find quite disturbing that a massive company can dictate to a farmer what he can and can't do with his harvested crop and force them to re-buy seed from them. They also sued and won against DuPont for their round up ready seeds. they just a few months ago came to a partnership where the 2 companies are working together to lock up MORE seed...

As far as the Tesla not having a Dealership that too is a bunch of BS to me. Small company (relatively) can't sell their product ON-LINE just because it is a CAR is a law that should be taken off the books. No different than so many old laws that need to be removed.

The pres says it all the time in his speeches ..he says Yo & Tah....start counting the times....next time you hear him speak...it won't take long he campaigns 24/7

I would not use ANYTHING BHO says as an example of what's correct or acceptable.

I will simply say two things:

1. The Republicans in NC seem to have run on the principle of free enterprise and less government, but once in power have not lived up to that campaign rhetoric. This article points it out in this case, there are others.

2. A number of other bills and discussion in the NC General Assembly have demonstrated a regressive position of the current prevailing party. This article clearly demonstrates that as well. One current discussion is regarding elimination. Of the income tax and relying only on a sales tax, such a notion clearly penalizes senior citizens who have already been taxed but will be taxed again if the increased sales tax goes through under the current proposal.

The Democrats have had their chances as well but did not do what had to be done to help this state continue on a positive trend.

I am apolitical as I can be.

The fun part will come when they finish with the cradle to the grave makeover. The tax code is next, paying a tax on services will bring some broken molars when people start gritting their teeth over paying taxes on hospital and doctor visits, car repair, ac service, heating service. The list is endless. Happy days are coming.

Perhaps a "pre-plowing" attachment.:D

Could be. Tesla is certainly well positioned to be a leader in long-life battery power technologies.

Sales Motto: "You'll get a charge out of this." Or, "Let Tesla tickle you pink."

If a farmed doesn't like their terms then he/ she shouldn't buy their seed.
