Unusual use for snowblower

Most snowblowers do not have an air filter on the engine. Reason being is twofold, no dust when blowing snow & chance of the snow melting around the filter & then freezing. Did you ever notice how wet a snowblower engine is after you are done using it?
So, using a snowblower to blow sawdust will result in the dust being sucked in the intake & ruin the engine in no time. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

One fall we put too much leaf mulch on the garden without tilling it in.

It didn't compost like normal so we had this wet mess in the spring that was not going to dry enough to till.

Still had the snow blower on the Simplicity so while driving past the garden gave it a try and other than a mess it worked.

Wood dust can explode, the MDF plant near here blew last month, a bin with "wet" chips ie lumber type moisture content ignited and blew the end walls off the building.

I agree with Molerj that motor can't take much of that dust unless put an aircleaner on it and it would still be a high maintance part
