[Grand ridge tractor man]

I'm to purchase and additonal tractor. I have 7430 with loader and no cab. I'm looking at buying another kubato 9530 with cab for those times that weather and or dust makes a miserable job of doing farm work. I'm trying to decide on the regular clutch or sync shuttle. I'm used to regular clutch and don't kind using and from what I'm told it simpler to repair. What is big advantage of the shuttle system?

You will get more response posting in the kubota or operating forums. I am of the mindset if you like what you have, why change, it will be easier to transition from one tractor to the other.

Welcome! You'll get lots of opinions on different gear/drive systems. I spent 20 years with a geared tractor and recently moved to HST. If you do much loader work the HST is miles more productive than a geared tractor. if mostly you just tow ground-engaging implements (mowers, plows, tillers) then the gear system is certainly adequate and possibly better than HST.

If by shuttle you mean GST I haven't used it. It's a Kubota exclusive, i believe. The transmission on my old 2250 was called a shuttle, and what that meant was you could pick one gear and easily switch from forward to reverse in basically the same speed. You did have to use the clutch to switch, though.

driven both, old clutch style and the elec shuttle. If i could choose, i like the electronic shuttle. Especially if you're doing any kind of loader work. Right now i have a mechanical shuttle.

I purchased the 9540 with shuttle and it really is nice. I couldnt part with 7040 and she comes in handy for those hard to get to places. Also don't want to scratch cab on 9540.
