I think you mean "crotch rocket" which is often used to describe most "rice rockets" and also emcompasses other fast bikes not made in Asia. So tell me, why is OK to use rice rocket but not rice burner?
I was using your terminology and frankly thought that you meant "Crotch Rocket". Crotch Rocket/Rice Rocket, is refering to Speed, and to some, that is a supreme compliment. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I have been in several conversations with other motorbikers over the years. And it has been my experience. That when a motorbike, is referred to as a "Rice Burner", then it is not as good as their machine, and usually that is an American Made Motorbike.
I mean, logically, nothing will burn on Rice, right? Internally Combustion Wise. Rice Burner, means-- Un American, Not as Good, And Generally, a downgrading type of Slur.
I've heard this term used too many times, to be mistaken in my perception, as to what they mean or meant.
Others, pick up on these wordings and think nothing about really what they are saying, but to some, they have real meanings.
Especially if your's, is one of the machines that is not American.
