Using a middle buster to bury drain tile

I've got an old hand made 3ph middlebuster that I have dug trenches for water line, gas line and drain lines. If you get somebody to stand on the plow (preferably a big person) you can get down about 12-16 inches deep and the hole won't require a lot of shoveling if you don't move too slow. It makes a pretty wide trench too.

I just did 130' of 4" drain pipe. Used king cutter middle buster subsoiler combo. Ripped it first then used the middlebuster. Worked ok but the tailings kept backfilling the trench. Tried different speeds but it was too deep to kick the tailings out. YMMV. Shoveling the tailings were much easier than digging the trench and only took abt an hour and a half. I have pics but can't figure out how to get them to upload right side up. They look fine on my phone but upside down after I upload.

This thread is 11 years old. My guess is the trench is either done or not gonna happen

That's what I did to bury some irrigation line.

Your phone knows the correct orientation for the image and so displays it correctly. Assuming you are using Windows, copy them to your PC and then load them into the Paint program. There is a Rotate button that will allow you to select 180 deg rotate. Then save it as a JPEG file and upload those.

If you are comfortable using/installing other software, get IrfanView (free) and use it instead.
