The 825i isn't early as good on fuel as the 855d but I still net right around 18 mpg a trail ride and over the winter when I'm plowing with my Boss V plow I can get at least 5 big storms on a tank of fuel which I don't feel is too bad. The down low power is said to be better on the 825i as well as top end although I haven't been able to use a 855d for work myself. The 825i has done a ton of fence work, wood/stone hauling and snow plowing and has never left me wanting more. For my uses it's the ideal balance of power for days when I feel like playing on the trails and for the morning after an 18" snowfall for cleanup. The dump bed is handy and although folks claim a belt drive machine can't work I disagree...I recently put in a few new retaining wall / flower boxes using the cement retaining wall block....I loaded the blocks in my 825i 40 blocks at a time with no issues at all....the only reason I stopped at 40 was because I didn't want to stack blocks and risk chips. (Blocks weigh 24lb each so 960 lbs in the bed and not even close to overloaded) In the winter I run the Boss V blade up front which I is approx 400 lbs and I run 500 lbs of ballast in the rear box, the Gator will still take off spinning the tires if you just punch the throttle....
I would be ecstatic if JD would make a new UTV with everything the same as the 825i but 5-6" narrower. It's very close to the perfect UTV in my opinion but for trail use a 56" wide max UTV would be much better, the trails are plenty wide but the barricades are very close to the width of my 825i.
