...am only looking for a good deal on a 825i. But my needs are more work based than sport.

If you're looking more for a work UTV then sport, look for an 855D too. Diesel, of course, and more lower end torque then the 825i. Not near as quick (or thirsty) as an 825i though.

The 825i isn't early as good on fuel as the 855d but I still net right around 18 mpg a trail ride and over the winter when I'm plowing with my Boss V plow I can get at least 5 big storms on a tank of fuel which I don't feel is too bad. The down low power is said to be better on the 825i as well as top end although I haven't been able to use a 855d for work myself. The 825i has done a ton of fence work, wood/stone hauling and snow plowing and has never left me wanting more. For my uses it's the ideal balance of power for days when I feel like playing on the trails and for the morning after an 18" snowfall for cleanup. The dump bed is handy and although folks claim a belt drive machine can't work I disagree...I recently put in a few new retaining wall / flower boxes using the cement retaining wall block....I loaded the blocks in my 825i 40 blocks at a time with no issues at all....the only reason I stopped at 40 was because I didn't want to stack blocks and risk chips. (Blocks weigh 24lb each so 960 lbs in the bed and not even close to overloaded) In the winter I run the Boss V blade up front which I is approx 400 lbs and I run 500 lbs of ballast in the rear box, the Gator will still take off spinning the tires if you just punch the throttle....

I would be ecstatic if JD would make a new UTV with everything the same as the 825i but 5-6" narrower. It's very close to the perfect UTV in my opinion but for trail use a 56" wide max UTV would be much better, the trails are plenty wide but the barricades are very close to the width of my 825i.

Thanks for the information. I currently use my 4 wheeler to pull a single drag section, an old blade for leveling the driveway and a very heavy lawn roller among many other uses. Pulling the lawn roller and blade are more than I should with the Rincon. It has plenty of power it is just geared to high for pulling. After about 15 minutes it is hot. Never overheats but the machine starts to run differently like it's close to overheating. It is built well because I have used the blade for hours no issues yet but it just doesn't feel right.
I am hoping the Gator will be better for pulling these things. Any opinions?
Thanks

I pull a DR Power Grader with my Gator 825i and you don't even notice it back there. I pulled my old bass boat around with it and had no issues there either. When I buried the Kubota BX I pulled that out of the mud too, they have a good deal of power if you know you're pulling a real heavy load use low range and go....your limitation is always going to be stopping ability not the ability to pull heavy loads with any light vehicle...not so much the brakes or transmission not giving you good braking just everything will slide. It would take well over 2k and going down a big hill for that to be a concern. $.02
