Does the increased tire weight improve pushing or digging ability?

When I pick up a load, weight is decreased on the rear tires. This means the wheels will spin and you will loose pushing ability. With the weight on the rear I can fully use all of the available (though limited) torque. I was much happier with the machine after adding rear weights.
