Many Thanks. I am not sure about any more storage that what I have with the second floor in the garage. The lifts really free up what would be car and truck space on the floor. I should start filling up the lifts this weekend if I can get the builder completely out so I can clean it up.

That's what everyone says...ha ha. I was thinking long stuff though like lumber or metal tubing etc. Something not easy to get upstairs.

I like your collection, especially the MG, Jeep and always liked the Miata. I also like the Kawi. :D

BTW, my 19 year old son recently bought a 67 International 4x4 pickup with a straight 6 that he wants to fix up. Same vintage as me, lol. Should be interesting. Would be nice to have the space you now have.

Most impressive and I really like the variety you have!!!! :) I love going to car shows and seeing the older models restored to brand new condition a lot more then the custom modified one. I grew up with a 66 Mercury Park Lane convertible that my brother destroyed when I was in the Marine Corps. If I was ever to have an old car, that's what I'd want.

Eddie

Thanks for the comments. I can appreciate almost anything. I know when I see a young kids car, I always give them a big thumbs up for what they have done.

The door way is I think 7 to 8 tall at the bottom of the stairs. It is an over size interior door. I will measure today, I think it was to be installed today. I think the angle for most long items will be OK. I will have to use a window I guess if it is that long and not too wide or heavy!

The famous facia is being covered. There is a lip that goes under the shingles like a drip edge.

The engineered septic system was started today. They have to hand cut and clear the area for the septic field. It will be a mound system and they cannot put equipment on top of the soil. He had to pull the timber off with a chain. He now has to rake the top debris off. Put in a sand that is only found 60 miles from my sand and is certified to be what was designed. It is a drip system that is pressurized and on a timer.

Waiting for Dominion Power to bring in 400 AMPS. House will have a 16KW Generator. It will not have to power many items.
I will have propane for; Generator, Tankless Waterheater, Stove, Cast Iron Heater - Greatroom, Wall Heater in Garage, Gas backup for HVAC.
Boxes, Meter Base, 2 Disconnects - house and garage, Generac Stand by power

Looking good -- that will be maintenance free and you won't ever give it a second thought.

You have my condolences on the engineered septic system -- I know that must be costing some serious $$$. Most of my neighbors had to get engineered systems, and the cost makes me fee real lucky we got away with a traditional system for about $6K. Had to go down 24-48" to get through the clay into sandy soil, but thank god the sand is down there. Interestingly, from one property line to the other the soil is pretty much all clay and transitions over to all sand. The septic field is somewhere in the middle. Two houses over it was clay down as deep as 8' and they had to spend $25K on their engineered system.

Called Freddy (he has to be 75+) late last week to make sure he slotted me for the last two weeks in July. He felt he would be open then. Yesterday he started which is OK, but needs 20K to order equipment as it has to be paid in advance. Final payment for the garage is this week, 2nd house draw is due. The job is picking up pace but so is the cash flow. Mr Giles did my other system so I was going to use him if at all possible, he happened to be the best price at 26K. Next quote was at 31K same equipment. I am at the limit of where he will work but I think he has appreciated how we worked together in the past. I try to go out of my way to thank people for the effort to do it right and to work together when I question something.

Cool collection. I have ridden in an old Falcon, similar VW dune buggy, and an MGB. But not a jeep truck like that. :) does a 59 Willys count?
