It's the first we've heard of this, but it is being corrected as we speak.

Everything Attachments,
I do not own a scale to weigh such a large item to verify the accuracy of the weight you have listed and when I called Ansung they would not verify the weight, you ship items all the time and must have a large scale, could you weigh the ER062, filled with fluids with the drive shaft so we know what is the accurate weight. Ansung has so many different weights listed on different places for the same tiller who knows which one is correct.

Yes, I'll definitely get it done for you Monday.

Company here in Oregon , Who does sell imported attachments , Shows both shipping weight and net weight on the attachments I have looked at . Example is their 5" chipper , " Net weight 865 lbs. Shipping Weight 890 lbs. Ships on 1 Pallet " . My Brother bought a 3 point B.H. and a 5' gear drive tiller from them last spring . Tiller works awesome , Best their garden has ever looked pre planting , ( they have used everything from garden tractor tillers , to hand tillers and even a Horse model Troy bilt before ) . The B.H. is also pretty awesome . After a few adjustments of the pressure relief and replacing a hose , ( Our Fault for not zip tying it out of the way as We modified the top link attachment ) , That thing was digging up soil that had not been touched in 50+ years , When we installed a complete lawn irrigation system at My Mom's house .

This is the spec's for his 59" tiller : " WEIGHT: Net weight 775 lbs. Shipping Weight 800 lbs. Ships on 1 Pallet " .
What I find interesting is the model You purchased has 42 tines , My Brothers only has 24 tines , Yet his outweighs yours by 200 pounds :confused3:
Sure , Some people say more tines are better , But all I can go by are the results I see after spreading the compost pile , tilling it into their garden area and the 3 virgin soil places He tilled for His neighbor and Our other Brother .

I have never bought anything from EA but I have checked a couple of their items out and they were correct on specs. I found them to be just fine.

Do PTO drive shafts have different ratings, I see some are yellow and mine is black, is color an indications of class.

If I cut my drive shaft and then latter on decide to go with a quich hitch or Pat's will my drive shaft be to short?

If a tiller says maximum tilling depth is 7 1/2" deep how is that possible if the tine only protrudes past the bottom plates 3"

Pto shaft is over my head . Have both colors ???? on same tractor :confused3:

Till Depth is based upon distance from edge of shaft that tines are attached to , to outside edge of tines . Skids on side will actually go into the ground , if ground is soft . If ground is hard , skid shoes prevent tines from digging to deep on first pass , thus eliminating or lessening the possibility of tine / tiller damage and breaking shear bolts , etc... .

We all know that the weight of an attachment tells us how well it's made or what size steel they are using and is an indication of the quality of attachment we are buying. To some degree.

All it tells you is they used heavy metal .The bearings might be from China with no grease .They may have a fifty chain where it should be a good quality 60. No guarantee the tines are hardened.
I would put more faith in something a little lighter and confident the welds went more than surface deep ,but each his own .

UGH on any Chain drive tiller , american made or not . My Brothers is gear drive import . Checked gear lash when doing the final assembly and it was pretty tight with just enough space to prevent binding . Tines are ??? when it comes to " Hardening " , But after all the virgin soil tilling last summer , they show very little useage .:dance1:
In regards to weight of steel , In a attachment such as a tiller , Heavier gauge steel is likely going to stand up to the work that a tiller will see better than lighter gauge steel . :2cents:

As you said though " to each their own " .

I agree, I want a quality tiller with quality bearings, gears, tines, and good welds and knowing the weight will tell us if they are using the appropriate amount of steel in their tiller to stand up to the abuse vs thin steel that won't have the weight to penetrate the ground or stand up to the stress. I really did not mean to say that the weight is a representation of quality, but it is a benefit with ground breaking attachments.

FredH, thanks for the tiller info on the tines and depth :)
