hi i have a 09 ck27w/130 loader , quick attach bucket, when i push into a gravel pile or dirt to get a full load the loader will not curl or lift straight through as it should, some have told me its cause of the bucket size ? i ran an older newholland 25hp with woods loader and it worked with no issues, ... i was wondering about the relief pressure and how to bump it up alil?

My dealer said he had several complaints about this issue ever since Kioti began offering the QA loader as an option on the CK27/30/35.

He claimed that the QA moved the bucket out away from the loader arms just enough to have a dramatic effect of the lift capability/curling ability, especially noticed on larger bucket widths or larger bucket capacities.

Maybe, as you say, pumping up your PSI a smidge, wouldn't make it seem too bad.

We have played with several of the new KL130QAP Loaders with the QA Plate. It does effect the roll-back of the bucket due to the extended distance to the roll pins. Not only did KIOTI add the QA Plate, they also gave us a larger / heavier bucket, which we have been requesting for a long time. Now we have both, and the effects of both.

We have found that decent bucket curl can be accomplished by letting down on the boom slightly as you curl in the material pile. The natural tendency is to lift on the boom as you curl. If you let slightly down on the boom as you curl, and continue into the pile, you can get a decent bucket full of material. Takes a little practice, but it works.

Your loader should run at about 2450psi. We wouldn't recommend cranking up the pressure beyond the recommended setting.

My first observation is which range are you in? If you are in Medium Range you should try Low Range. Typically while working with the Loader the tractor you should be in Low Range. If you are traveling close distances - low is probably fast enough. For longer distances load the bucket in Low, then shift to Medium for travel. Low Range will give you the most power. Also you did not comment on the RPM you were working at. Throttle the tractor up to PTO operating RPM's should help do the trick.

The range you're in won't have anything to do with being able to lift / curl. But, do make sure your RPMs are up. I agree, tweaking the PSI a little won't hurt.

You hit it on the head as usual Iron, I've done this for quite awhile and Iron is right in his explanation. The addition of a toothbar can also help if used to your advantage as well. The toothbar can hurt as much as it helps if you try to curl without lowering the boom and using the tractors breakout force to it's advantage. I can load my bucket to the point where the loader won't lift it on occasion in wet material as the toothbar actually allows you to get even more material in your bucket because of the extension of the teeth.

Steve

P.S. By the way I do have the Horst QA on my CK30 and a homemade 900lb weight.

The LK30 here in Australia originally came with a Quick release bucket on the AL33 loader, I always wondered why they discontinued it to a standard pin connect, figured it was a cost cut but reading this maybe not. Also our bucket is 55 inch's, 5.29 cubic feet, I believe the LK30 in USA is fitted with a 60 inch bucket, the smaller bucket does give the Aussie model a lift capacity of 1763 pounds.
Out of interest what width bucket are you talking about here that is giving the problem, I'd actually like to get a bigger bucket for my LK30 as the 55 inch seems like your only moving a spade full at a time, still beats using a wheelbarrow though ;)

Michigan Iron is right out lowering as you curl for better lift. When I go into a pile I move the loader control to the 10 to 11 o'clock position instead of the 9 o'clock just curl position. Try it you'll be amazed at the difference.
