To know what the current WX is ..all you have to do is look out the window or open the door...

IMO good weather forecasts are the best form ever of being able to see into the future and without modern technology it's anyone's guess...
Don't need a WX station to tell if it's hot or cold or raining or not...!

I enjoy looking at local microclimate differences between personal we stations. I also like looking at my historical data such as rainfall which varies drastically around here.

Some say that forecasting is quite a bit more difficult in the PNW vs the interior states. I imagine this might be true for most coastal areas.

I like the 10 day forecast at weather.com. It's quick and easy to read and to change into the hourly forecast. I don't use the app just type in 10 day and my suggestion box usually beings up what I want to click on. That might be why I haven't noticed any upgrade ads.

The only people that care about the WX in the pnw are those that live there...the only WX you hear about on the national news is the tornado belt, the joisey/ny area and FL... sometimes coastal areas of SC/NC...and NOLA when there's a hurricane...

That's so true... sort of peeves me that the national news weather report focuses on the NE then the SE and if they have time the mid west. But I guess that is okay... we don't need anymore people migrating to the PNW... I'm fine just keeping this part of God's country a secret

I use Wunderground on a Win10 desktop using Brave browser. Brave is based on Chrome, but it blocks ads and website trackers. Users of Chrome, Edge, Apple, etc, may have a worse experience. If you use a WU app on a cellphone, then I do hear performance is not good.

We have lots of microclimates around here, so I monitor particular local WU weather data stations in the area.

Timeanddate.com has a 14 day guesstimate plus a few other things: World Temperatures — Weather Around The World Set your Zip Code for local information. They also do Sun, Moon and planet phases and rise/set times.
