Weed wiper aplicator

I just seeded 4 acres of grass last fall and it has come up quite nicely this spring. BUT there is what I think is quack grass spread all over. I would like to build/buy a weed wiper that I can put roundup in and just touch the taller quackgrass. I'm thinking something 5-6ft wide. Possible wheels on the ends to keep the height right. Pulled with either my tractor, lawn tractor, or 4 wheeler, whichever seems easiest at the time.

Anyone have any ideas where to find somthing like this or materials for me to build one?

Google "wick herbicide applicator" or similar terms. Some companies market the applicators, but you can find plans for making your own.

Thanks for the link. Upon closer examination I think I may have some vollunteer wheat growing in my yard from the straw and not Quackgrass :ashamed:
At least I don't need to worry about killing it now.

What type of grass did you plant ? Was it NWSG. If that is the case you can hit the field with round up your NSWG hasn't started growing yet.

I planted a turf type tall fescue. It's called Tuff Stuff by Earth Carpet. I really like this grass. Came up nicely, good collor.

I never built the actual wick wiper itself, just bought them a 20' and 6' from:
Rodgers Sales Co., INC

Built the frames myself. The 20' mount to FEL bucket to control the up and down and when you need to go thru a gate you can just pick the FEL up over the gate and go thru. The 6' mounts to atv with the winch controling the up and down. I also take the wick off and mount an old plow point to make my garden rows.
