At that weight I assume its 4x4???
Thats only ~600lbs lighter than mine. But it is about the heaviest combo you can get in a dodge 3500. Its a 2005 DRW, quad-cab, long bed, 4x4, and cummins. 11,200 GVWR. The DRW really adds ALOT to the hauling capability.
empty weight is ~8000lbs. Just depends on how much junk I have in the back seats. Just last week I hauled a load of stone. Dad and brother were in the cab with me. (300lbs) Tare was ~8400lbs. Load going out was ~11,100. Right on leagal capacity. Truck with DRW's handled the ~2700lb load like it wasnt there
kicker was on the way to the quarry, we crossed a 4T limit bridge. I knw we werent going back that way. I told dad we were probabally over already (before we got loaded). Sure enough we were:confused2:
I have to ask though, why did you decide on the short box??? After my last SB truck, I said I would never do it again. Just cant haul much of nothing back there.
Heck, my 2006 F-350 Diesel 4x4 has 11,500# GVWR and weighs 7,600# with me in it and 3/4 tank of fuel so it has a legal 3,900# payload and handles it just fine.
