Why would I want to pull her out? I am trying to put her IN.

Correction: Frost line here (according to building code) is 30".

Re: WELL DONE!!! FER ALL TBNER\'S AND BETWEEN GATOR BOY

A couple other things:

Only use brass fitting, i.e male adapters, check valves. Galvanized fitting are cheaper but they rust unless you use a dielectric union where you hook onto the pitless adapter.

Use high quality stainless steel hose clamps to attach the pipe (assuming you are using black plastic well pipe) to the male adapters. I always use two clamps on each adapter and it has never failed me. Another trick I have learned over the years is to heat up the end of the pipe with a torch or heatgun to make the fitting slide onto the pipe all the way. Trust me on this one it makes it much easier. I would be happy to explain any process of the installation in detail, just ask.

Re: WELL DONE!!! FER ALL TBNER\'S AND BETWEEN GATOR BOY

DEAR FLEALIE ,
I you look at everyone of my posts then you will gather that I use only the best and highest of quality fittings and stnls clamps...I' trying to build a string that does notheing but use EVERYTHING THAT WILL LAST.......for OUR and your newfound friends here...period.... paragraph...end....
I am truly grateful that now we have another proffessional tho help in this endeavor...to make it so simple that anyone can follow and do it all by themselves!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thats what we are all about here....savin our friends lotsa $$$$$$$$$.....please back me up on this one and help me try to reason that with the savings saved that u can not only do the PROPER AND PERFECTLY CORRECT JOS but u can also use some of the cash to do and buy other things such as a well tile and a top quality generator..(by the way way gster I have a line on some top quality gen's and endeavoring to do more research on this 2) I have a buddy in alabama that thinks that he may be able to git some wholesale gen's at jist but cost as well as the contact that my better half got ours too...They have both been working 4 Dayton for over 25yrs. a piece and i was talkin to them both this past week and they both have the ability to gittem at 10%- 25% above cost and will send u pics of our 6000kv. to show u what wev'e got and will b back to ya'll soon as i've gotta go do the horses and gather the eggs and the like...Thank Goed it's stopped rainin as it's been rainin her for 3 day's straight!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
TODD

P.S.
oh yeah and an additional comment 2 what our new friend said bout galvanized clamps....The process of galvanizing uses a chemical called (zinc chromate ) which is not only not impervious to long term moisture but also leaches off and causes contaminants that are literally poisonous.....ie: you ask any of the guys that have a clue about their welding here on tbn and they ( i promise you grind galv. metal b4 they weld as the fumes are so very toxic!!!!!!!)

Polecat:

Lots of welders will not do galvanized because of the fumes.

I wouldn't worry at all about welding galvanized as long as I'm outdoors with a good breeze blowing. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
