I agree. Take one of the stabilizers off and see why they won't extend more.
I do find that odd, since cat 2 specs are 32" for lowers. So its strange that 32" is at its max for narrowness.Thank you for the replies. Getting frustrated here as I seem to fix tools about as much time as using them!
Yes, not a bushings/pin issue. I can/have changed my implement's pins to cat 2. It's an issue with the minimum distance between the lower control arms (32" minimum). I'll have to see if TSC has pins that are long enough. A rake I want to use only goes to about 30 1/2".
I was also thinking about changing out the stabilizer bars to the pin type.
IF that is the case, the "PIN" is missing on both sides....Here's a picture from a 4710 for sale in the interweb...
You can see the clip installed.

Yes. but it kinda confirms there are no threads on that end of the arm.I'm thinking the "pin" is just so the turnbuckle can't loosen after set.
The original poster has both pins removed and sitting on top of the PTO shield in his first photo.IF that is the case, the "PIN" is missing on both sides....
From MF 4710 parts book....

Well there you go.The original poster has both pins removed and sitting on top of the PTO shield in his first photo.
I noticed that in pic but it didn't "register", just going to walk away from this discussion....The original poster has both pins removed and sitting on top of the PTO shield in his first photo.
I have the same issue. My green tractor is a cat 1 and my orange tractor is a cat 2. Being a cheapskate, I thought I could share implements with the two. Nope. Doesn't work well at all.I went from a cat one to a cat 2 tractor and the first thing I did was tear up a bunch of implements! Didn't help that they were bought to fit a 13hp tractor and I bought a 70hp tractor to destroy them with! I should have sold them with the tractor!

I went from a 47 HP Cat I to a 54 HP Cat II with no issues damaging implements. Don’t see how 7 add’l HP should make much difference other than the stoutness of the lower 3 pt arms. I do use adapters to reduce slop. Plus I‘m careful with my toys.I have the same issue. My green tractor is a cat 1 and my orange tractor is a cat 2. Good catch! I also noticed the tractor end wasn’t crimped like the implement end for any threading. The original poster has both pins removed and sitting on top of the PTO shield in his first photo.
