What a Mess!

LS installed the valve stems. Not the dealer.
Touchy situation I guess.
Ok, So most of our tractors come through with rubber stems. Especially the smaller ones.
We use an outside vendor to fill our tires at the shop.
The first thing this guy does is replace the stems with metal ones.
This is what should have been done where the op bought his tractor.
The onus is on the dealer even if this dealer uses an outside vendor and most certainly if this dealer has a tire ballast fill station on site.

Nice looking tractor of yours BD.

I have no issue with beet juice. Been in my tires 14 years now, no issues

It doesn’t give issues : it’s just expensive & not readily available like antifreeze.

Remember, beet juice is non-toxic vs. antifreeze. If you have livestock or even pets, they can be poisoned by consuming liquid ballast from a tire failure.

I had a rock put a tear in a rear tire. Fortunately I noticed right away and was able to quickly get parked with the hole skyward. I only lost a couple of gallons out of 50. Tire service came out same day. They recovered the fluid into a barrel and performed a repair with the biggest tire patch I've ever seen! Then installed an inner-tube, and pumped the fluid back into the tire.

Anyway, imagine 50 gallons of tasty poison on the ground with curious livestock hoovering about. Just another factor to consider.

I agree with you 100%. The Dealer would not take any ownership at all which does not always mean money. He felt he did nothing wrong. I felt better taking my tractor to a tire dealer that knew right from wrong. He took care of me promptly and I am happy with his service. I am glad that I at least reached 1 other person who did not have to suffer a similar fate as me. There has to be hundreds of loose cannons with a similar issue as me from my Dealer.

He used the wrong equipment for the job and even if ignorant o th facts, he should have still held your hand on this. He did an incorrect thing….period.
It is apparent that this owner has little clue of sustaining a business that provides the concept that he has his customer’s backs.

If he did this with you, l am willing to bet that he has created insecurities of his customer base no matter what the issues were.
Let’s see how long his doors remain open.
This was an absolutely dumb ass way to treat a client and if it were me, l would at least communicate this to him in no uncertain terms.

My local tire dealer 5 minutes away fixed all the issues the same day for $300. There is now heavy duty metal valve stems with new ballast. They do all the John Deere, New Holland, and Mahindra dealership tractor tires in the area. The tapered rim prevented recovery of the existing ballast. They saved me 90 minutes of drive time to my LS dealer, and he got me going the day before a major snow storm. The LS dealer wanted several days to fix. I did not want to reward unacceptable behavior. The LS dealer refuses to accept any ownership of the issue.
I would volunteer to help that dealership advertise their business, and tell them so; there is good and bad advertising. What is the name of that business?
