What am I Doing Wrong?

Example: I click on a thread and rather than page 1 opening so I can read the original post it opens on page 3 of 4 pages and post #21.

Also, when a photo is viewed and I back browse, a post with a different number appears causing one to have to scroll to view another pic of that reply or return to that post #. The only time it returns to the original post is if there has been no replies.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

I believe the first problem is actually a feature, opening a thread takes you to the first unread post.

Most of the time when I go back after looking at a picture, it goes back to where I was, but occasionally, it goes back to the beginning of the page. I think this is related to how fast I am browsing, too fast and the pages have not completely loaded so it does not know where to go back to.

There may be some settings to change the behavior, I have not looked.

Go to My Home at the top of any page and then select Edit Options. Different settings here can improve your viewing.
