What attachment makes rows?

Furrower? Layoff plow?
Sorry for the Q....but...
The hoe ain't cutting it, and since i have this new 60" tiller, i am finding all sorts of places to cultivate. I can't seem to find a "hiller" attachment....help...

I'm sure there are real commercial hillers that you would pull on your 3 pt hitch. I'll just mention that a neighboor of mine made a hiller out of wood and it seems to work pretty well. I've never seen it in use but he told me once how he uses it.

Imagine a piece of 5/8" plywood, say 4' wide by 3' high. He cut a hill shaped piece out of the bottom of the plywood and reinforced it with 2x4s. I don't recall how he attaches it to the lift arms and toplink, but he does.

After tilling the soil I think he mounds it up in a row with the FEL then straddles the row with the tractor and pulls the plywood profile behind him to shave the hill into the correct profile. Pretty neat, and he gets just the shape he wants.

Motor, I found myself in the same situation about a month ago. So I began looking for a hiller attachment. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and prices depending on your planting intentions. Some of the bigger elaborate models can be found here Buckeye Tractor Co . I found a simplier less expensive model here Ridger Pic . After all the research I went with a howse middle buster for $150.00 from northern tool. Howse Middle Buster/Sub-Soiler Combo  3-Point, Category 1 | Category 1 Attachments | Northern Tool + Equipment . I used my 5ft tiller first then came back and formed multi 50' rows. I'm assuming you are making a smaller garden as well. Hope this helps...Kid

Buckeye has some neat implements but their prices are outrageous......kid of like an Anbo grapple I priced. nice grapple, but it cost more money than the ENTIRE front loader it would mount to!

The second/third pic is the results.

Forth Pic... I'm trying to figure out how to set up my one row cultivator to make my rows then use it for a cultivator. I don't think my tractor is set up for a standard size row.

Do a search on the Agri-Supply site. They have Less Expensive models, see what you think of them. bjr

Thanks guys, i borrowed a "Middle Buster" from a neighbor and it worked fine getting in 1000' of 'taters. I found them at tractor Supply for $128, so i will pick one up next time i am in town. A cultivator would be nice to do multiple rows, but for now one at a time is plenty......
Now if will only rain......

Agri Supply has what they call a Keulavator. It's a rig on which you mount 2 opposed discs. The Agri Supply page for the Keulavator lists all the stuff you need.

It'll look similar to my attached soil ripper rig, but with the cultivator plows replaced by 2 big (20") discs. Makes nice raised rows.
