Believe it or not, my weight box scares me the most. It is the heaviest attachment I have (809 lbs), and if it falls, it is going to do some damage to anything it hits. I usually keep it on a wooden dolly with steel casters, and moving it around, even on the concrete floor is scary to me because I have had casters fail before. I am deathly afraid of having my feet or any other body part anywhere close to that box.

Another owner with a folded ROPS that is doing nothing far as protection is concerned.

Trencher is probably the most dangerous attachment that I have, it has been used to grind stumps and requires a lot of attention when using it. Spinning blades throwing stuff at the back of the tractor, not a good feeling!

The SS brush hog has spinning blades reaching out 8" in front of the housing. It cuts anything like butter but those exposed blades and open front where it throws debris make me nervous.

Actually it makes a really good place for me to hang my hearing protection when not in use running the chipper.

So you protect your ears but not your head?
Last time I looked, after 17 years of running this machine, my head was still intact.

So far so good. That is no guaranty of the future. But you have the choice to not use it. Like not using a seat belt. You do you. It doesn't prevent other people from noticing.

True, and if I was worried about what other people thought, I would put my ROPS up before taking the picture. Just like anything else I ever post, I'm not recommending it for anyone else, just what I do/think.

And, just for the record, I DO use my ROPS in the deployed position, when I believe it to be prudent.

protection ? from asteroids I am assuming, its certainly not from tipping his driveway looks implacably level.
And that 800 pound weight 4-5 ft above the ground 10 ft out past the lift point could not possibly affect the stability, right? lol

My top 2 are my square bailer and post auger I would say... I fell pretty safe with the brush hog but certainly don't let anyone stand behind it while I operating it.

Well, the 675lb mower on the back and 360lbs of wheel weights help a little....

Op: Sounds like your initial post/ thread is describing your opinion of your scariest unmounted attachment.
Most replies would probably be for attached running implements.

My garden tiller.
We don't know what is buried under our feet. Mechanically disturbing 6" of soil could get expensive.
For that reason, I quit tilling for hire.
