Saturday night at about 10 o'clock, decided to get some work done. Removed post hole auger, hooked up backhoe, and drug the last large stump out of the way of our shooting range build.

I was able to pull it about 100-ft. before it buried itself. Got behind and pushed it another 50-yds to a burn pit.

The picture is where the tractor ran out of weight and traction. I sure love those work lights. I can rotate them forward for loader work or rearward for implement and backhoe work.

I use an old hood (62 T-Bird) to drag that awkward stuff that always digs in. Used it 30 years ago to drag the kids around on the frozen lakes. Silly thing also makes a great rock boat.

Saw the neighbors out dumping some stone on a portion of their drive. They were using a skid steer to spread it out, but were making some "ridges". Took the tractor over and smoothed out their tracks. Put about an hour on the machine.

We've had a couple days with some really strong winds, which means limbs down. I spent the afternoon going from neighbors yards and back, adding to my pile to be chipped. Planning on chipping tomorrow. Some of the limbs were big enough to get a bucket of firewood. Don't have a fireplace, but we do camp a lot, I hauled 4 buckets like this just from the neighbors who's yard joins mine

Glad you are able and willing to help your neighbors. Hopefully, they will return the favor some day. I'm sure any excuse to play on the tractor is welcome.

I used mine as a big wheelbarrow too. Moved some leaves from where they fell to the area that will hopefully a be a garden of sorts next year. Will let they lay for a while, then till them in before Spring.

well the neighbors who join my property where I did most of that, are all special needs folks. It's good just to help them. I'll say one thing about any 'return the favor one day'....we haven't had any issues with them at all, and for the most part, they're always out and about and very 'nosy' and that is well known around here. Like having watchdogs always seeing everything that goes on. That's worth a lot these days and times!

I collect all the leaves I can to put in my garden. Like you, I'll dump them throughout, let them sit over the winter and then till them under a couple of months before I'm going to plant. I've done chips too, that will help loosen the soil up if it's something that really packed, and as they decompose, you're getting great soil amendment. That's another reason I gladly pick up my neighbors limbs, since I have a PTO powered chipper, I'm trying to build up a mulch pile :)

let me back up to Friday. I hooked up the chipper, and started chipping the big pile of limbs I'd accumulated. My daughter and SIL bought a house just around the corner from us, with a big 'flower bed' for lack of any better name for it, so I spread cardboard on the ground to kill the grass (once it gets wet it keeps the ground wet too) then took 3 FEL buckets of chips around there and spread out for them

so today, I finished chipping the pile of limbs, spread that out to mulch some of our plants. Then I put the rake on and raked up several piles of pine straw the wind helped our big pine trees give me. Took 3 buckets around to the daughters house, did a little bit here. Will finish that tomorrow morning, then I'm going over to the FILs house to rake his yard for him

Never even heard of pine straw until I began following your posts. I have Spruce trees but no spruce straw? It must have something to do with the length of the needles. Nice job too!

My wife uses pine straw a lot. My biggest problem is I need to start mowing under some of the pine trees. That way we will have cleaner straw in the fall.
