What did you do on or to your LS Tractor today?

Put 2 1/2 hours on my new Smurf yesterday. (Delivered Tuesday night)

First graded the main gravel drive. Then removed some decorative stones used as a low wall around a clump of trees. Two more islands left to do but wanted to see how the FEL worked on that task. Graded a mostly sand drive from the pole barn to the edge of the property. Moved firewood to the house. Clean out one of the "cut outs" that drain water that ponds on the county road to my place. (dead end road that does not get a lot of attention). Tried removing some saplings and that was a bust...ordered a Piranha Bar this morning.

Noticed a lot of "whine" especially in high range...not sure that is normal. Called dealer and he says it is at higher speeds but put it on the 50 hr check list.

Love my new machine. Ran the AC even though the temperature was in the high 50's. Hope it will be cool enough for summer use.

Check your "whine". More likely from steering and not HST. Seems to be common on the XR41xx tractors.

Hydros whine. It can be annoying if you're not used to it, but no harm in having Dealer check to see if they find it to be excessive.

Tomplum,
Just what the doctor ordered - or I'll order. How did the install go? I have three blank/dummy (but covered from the factory) switch spots that I would like to put the switches in so that it has a factory appearance.

If you check eBay, there’s lot of choices in logos and light colors. That where I got mine for my Polaris Ranger LED light bars.

The red, momentary push button is for my Bad Boy 12 volt air horn.

Seems that the new 125s may be coming with some sort of QA set-up, but I'm not sure if it's universal. Has anybody looked into it? Is there a retrofit kit available?

Put the deck on and ran around mowing for a while. Kind of mad about a few things and needed to do something sort of mindless.

Finished a shooting berm several weeks ago...been burning through ammo like crazy. But this weekend I dropped the backhoe and used the disc to turn a small pasture and spread pasture grass. Then rolled over it with a home made roller I made from an old pressure tank. After that the grapple went back on for more brush clearing.

Brought a fork lift basket home from work and sent my young lad up to trim branches on the trails that would otherwise hit the cab.Basket.jpg

yep, tractor time is good for clearing the mind.

I tilled 6 garden spots today. Still can't do my own because parts of it are standing in water :confused2:
