also added today to barn old pvc pipe hanging from chains before entering barn door so i remember to take down rops.

Used my Grizzly 72" way beyond it's intended use. With the hydraulic top link I was able to angle the deck and back into some really thick stuff....3-4" sapling....And man was I impressed. That is until I wasn't watching and ate a 6" tree and tweaked the blade carrier slightly and bent the front 8" of the right side deck brace. It isn't bad but there is a bit of a vibration now. Guess I should start saving for the right brush cutter for that kind of work and save my rotary for fields.

This was on the first day I got the tractor. Had to move a couple of Hickory logs. The second was approx. 30.0 dia. x 12' long and too heavy to lift so I improvised.

Worked on the cottage road today. It keeps getting washed out so my buddy who owns a Kubota L45 with backhoe dug some new ditches and I used the box blade to angle the dirt from the side of the road into the ditch.

In the afternoon we used the tractors to place logs on the sawmill to cut some lumber (Cherry and spruce).

At the end of the day I said, "That was good Canadian day." (It's Canada's 150th birthday today) He suggested that we top it off this evening by going out and shooting some beavers.

We were having some water run off issues where we park our trucks to hunt. It would always run through the parking spots and where we pull in off of the road and make a muddy mess of things. I used the Max26 hoe to dig out a trench, probably only about 50 yards long, to redirect the water elsewhere. Tomorrow will be using the scraper blade to level the parking spots, and then get in some slate to finish things off. It's awesome being self sufficient with my little workhorse.

Years ago I made my own field fence stretcher out of 2 2x4x4. It has been leaning in the corner of my pony shed for 20 years. One day I got the idea to use it for one of my major nemeses. A couple of weeks ago I tried it out.

I slid the assembly a few inches onto my loader forks, and was able to reach over a 4' barbed wire fence, and mash down the evil Himalayan black berry bushes. It worked so well, I'm going to make a similar one about 2x4x6.

Over the weekend I moved a lot of fill trees and brush. Probably 100+ tons.

Very happy with my machine, and loving my new Volvo Mini Ex. That thing is a beast.

Thanks. Old school is accuate. This pic is after the new house was built to replace the one that was burned during the civil war.

The history goes back a lot farther than photography though. The property was deeded to my ancestors by King George III prior to the Revolution. The previous inhabitants/owners were the Shawnee.

Visited a neighbor and ran the box blade up and down their driveway for an hour or so. They need some more stone, but at the end, a rutted, messed up driveway became smooth and clean. They were very happy. I got cookies and coffee for my efforts, which made me happy.
