Probably seat time but here goes.............

Tractor has only one fender fitted (other one being painted) and no hood.
Waiting to fit lights in hood and paint it but weather too cold to paint properly at the moment.

Backhoe half fitted with no boom or pipes but what the ****.......it runs.

Filled the hole we dug yesterday with old things we want rid of;)

Then filled it in with the front loader, nice enjoyable job, ground i little hard with the frost but sunny day thawed out the surface so we could get the job done.

The little 1200 Ford is a great little tractor and scooped up bucket fulls of earth with no problems, lets hope it digs just as good with the back hoe.

Another day tomorrow, starting to build extension to one of the outbuidings, old bricks are medieval so dont match up with modern to key in so using blocks instead and rendering over.
Lets hope the rain stays away for a day or two:)

Well the rain stayed away for three days, just a heavy shower just before it went dark tonight.
Managed to get the extension half built and the wall knocked through with a steel lintle to hold everything up.
The little Ford worked all day one day moving rubble and transporting brick and blocks in the bucket.

This evening I have been making a template so as I can cut the grill and fit some headlamps into it.
Need a bracket making behind the grill to mount the lamps on, job for tomorrow if I have time:)

Mounted the new tooth bar on properly. Got a deal on it since the dealer did not have the 54" bar that I wanted in stock. They wanted $350 to order one that size but would cut me a deal for a 48" bar they had on the lot for $200.
I decided to try it.

Bought a thick steel rod from the local metal surplus house, cut it to size, bought some large bolts and nuts and viola! Works like a champ.

Sutol, this is my neighbours tractor, he's 22 and just redid the tractor. Last fall he decided to come over to my place to try out his new plow before a plowingmatch. The Allis is also his now but belonged to another neighbour of mine who passed away. I drove it for hours when I was younger.

Nice to see youngsters with a keen interest in keeping the old tractors alive, I like the Fordson but the Allis is a bit strange to me as we didn't see such machines over here when I was a child.
Funny how tractors in my part of the world were regional, I mean that local farmers used Fordson, Ferguson and Massy Ferguson whereas further south they had Nuffield, David Brown and Massy Harris, must be just where the dealers were I suppose.
I think my interest in the old machines is nostalgia, they bring back so many memories of happy times on the farm.
Nice machines those though:)

Today brother Edd reversed the tractor out of the garage (shop) and reversed it back in so as we could begin to fit the backhoe back together with its resealed rams and pins with no play that will take grease from the gun.

Nearly done , just the bucket ram to do and then fit all the pipes.:)
