What did you do to your tractor today?

My local Kubota 'dealer' here is in reality a sub-dealer of Finnish Kubota dealer "Konekesko".
Finnish "Konekesko" dealer belongs to the U.K. Kubota distribution system "Kubota (U.K.) Ltd." which is dealing with Nordic & Baltic regions.

Now look how many players are involved in business:
1/ Kubota
2/ distributor - Kubota (U.K.) Ltd. Kubota (U.K.) Limited - Nordic & Baltic Regions
3/ dealer - Finnish Konekesko Konekesko
4/ sub-dealer - Litnuanian (my local dealer) Konekesko Konekesko

Each of these 4 parts need to earn. That's why it's nothing strange that we have the spare parts in 40% higher than in North America. Is that good or bad - that's another story. You in North America have at least 1 player less and special discounts on spare parts depending on the turnover and number of tractors sold.

Concerning spares for MFs, Class which are represented by the same company, they said they are much more expensive than Kubota parts, but I didn't ask them for how much.

Sorry for complicated explanation, but the situation itself is quite complicated here. :confused2::)

Are parts for zetor , belarus etc cheaper for you ?

For Belarus parts' prices are cheaper in times. Zetor - don't know - but this brand name is not popular here. If a farmer decides to go out of Belarus brand, he's looking for new Chinese, Korean or Western/Japanese pre-owned machines.
Strong farmers (I'm familiar with some) are purchasing a couple of new tractors - one is JD, NH, MF or any other, another one is new but still Belarus. Because the parts for Belarus are cheap and available at every corner.

I cleaned underbrush out on the north side of my woods, cleaned out about 100 foot x 400 foot, was perfect weather, and the Bobcat did great!

Took the snow plow off and replaced it with belly mower and then cut the lawn for the first time this year. :)

Wanted to get this posted yesterday but couldnt get the pics downloaded till now. Big oak was damaged in mothersday storms of 08 and badly needed trim job. Didnt take a real before pic but found one of 7040 just delivered with tree in background. You can see the pile of limbs in the background. Used 7040 with pallet as scaffold to get high enough to cut most limbs. And no I didnt leave the bucket like that Mrs T did:D.

My last Saturday's job (not today's!) :)
According to the pics attached:
- engine unloaded from a trailer;
- engine attached to the transmission casing;
- front axle joined with a tractor.
Ugly picture quality :ashamed:, but I'm not a professional photographer :D

Not wanting to take off the Backhoe on my bigger tractor and having to do some woods cleanup I welded on three grab hooks on my Box blade. It worked way better than I anticipated and am already planning some other mods to make this attachment even more versatile. The B7800 is very nimble in the woods, first time I actually used her this way. I also had my L.B. bucket on and this helped me manipulate logs after dragging them out to keep the pile in order. I pulled some big logs solo and also bunched some. Having the fully hydraulic top link really helped at times too.

Did a radiator flush and then installed the block heater I fabbed up. I'll start a thread on that project soon (even if it is the wrong time of year!).

Fun thread.
Not my tractor but I painted the rims and centers on my buddy's 4600 Ford yesterday. He had them sand blasted last week and I primed them Saturday.
We both bought new rear tires for our tractors last week. Joined forces and got a little better price on 4.

finished re-paint on the back blade that I got with my BX24 package last fall.
the old LandPride beige & black was pretty rusty, orange looks so much nicer.
found some 'Allis Chalmers Orange' at TSC... a pretty close match, I think.
the gray could have been a tad darker, but it'll do.

Well, guys as usual my tractors are all in the sheds but I did get an email from my brother in law with some not so good new on his. Seems he bought a trailer load of round bale hay and it was delivered on a gooseneck trailer stacked 2 layers high. He was not going to unload the top bale as he was a bit afraid of the task but the hay supplier said he had no problem unloading if he could use my BIL's tractor. He got to the last one on top, then hit the wrong pedal and drove the tractor forward rather than backward. Busted out both headlights but luckily didnt damage the hood. Head lights cost $162 each. The driver did give him $100 discount on the hay. I doubt insurance will help on this as likely the deductible is higher than the replacement cost.
Now he says he will put on a grill guard when he gets the new headlights installed.
There was a post yesterday on hydrostatic drive tractors taking off on their own and causing accidents or near misses. This may have been the case on this one also.

This afternoon I put the rototiller attachment on the Oliver and went after the weeds left behind when I cultivated our garden plot a few days ago. This is the earliest I've been able to get into the garden in five years. Dear Wife was ready to quickly put in some seeds before supper. After supper she was going to water what she'd sown.:cool: Before supper was done,:licking: it started to rain:thumbsup:. Good timing!:D

Used and abused the little darlin :D

Filled a large hole in with earth/clay to cover a soak away.

leveled it all, well most of it and also loaded about 4 tons of topsoil into a trailer
The little Ford worked hard all afternoon in the sunshine:thumbsup:
