I'm 76. After breakfast I do spine stretches (for my arthritic spine). Shoulder therapy (hurt my right shoulder). Knee therapy for (been doing it for 14 years), had to stop for a bit. Rehabbing from my partial knee replacement. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday I lift weights, 20 lb dumbbells, 4 sets of 10.

For 13 1/2 years I had inflamed gall bladder (nobody could figure it out), any bending, twisting etc would make me sick. I needed the excercise, but I had to hire kids to haul my firewood for the house and sauna. Anyways, lack of excercise/work I got soft. Fuel cans and shoveling snow got harder. So Feb 1st 2015 I started the weights. What a difference that made.
Good job. Keep it up. (y)

I usually do something every morning. I do 6 miles on the treadmill a couple times a week, but I run/walk that. Other days I'll do pull ups, push ups and that sort of thing. And then the 3rd day, I'll do everything core related...like I got this modified plank thing I do.

I don't kill myself with exercise, I don't push it to the limit or anything. The goal is merely to keep my body active and agile. I'm 50 now, I could keep this routine going for a while still.
If I was 50 again, I'd be a w**re....

Yeh man, stay as active as able. My mom is early 80's, she's on that exercise bike every day, does a couple miles at an easy pace, and then most days goes for a walk as well.

I’m still riding my e bike a lot. I belong to an e bike forum and there is a long running thread where people post pics of their daily rides. Some people have spectacular scenery and their are people from other parts of the world have unique scenery. Where I live we have corn fields and for excitement soy bean fields. I started posting photos of barns instead. I like the old broken down ones the most. During yesterdays ride I rode by an Amish barn raising, horse and buggies everywhere. I also found an old weathered barn.

I went for a ride this morning and the Amish were busy yesterday afternoon. Looks like they have to build a door for the hay loft. The Amish will use power tools but they have to be somebody else’s. Since this was an Amish barn built by the Amish I’m guessing no power tools were used. I don’t know if they precut anything ahead of time or did any other prep work but they basically built this in one day. Amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t spend half your day looking at a cell phone.

We walk about 3 miles every day, weather permitting. In the mountains; a lot different that flat land. I try to stay in a routine where I do upper body strength training with dumbbells one day, lower body weight strength exercises the next, and a day off except for walking. At 67, I realize that without strength training, my muscle mass will reduce rapidly. For me, this is they key. Minimize the inevitable loss of muscle mass as I age and keep the heart and lungs healthy.
