You have answer my next question about BX trractors. That would be, has anyone got one stuck? What did you use to pull it out? As a new user I appreiate the resonse.

Stuck? Yes, probably 3 or 4 times now. In all occasions I used the loader and the backhoe to push/pull my way out. The backhoe can be a great tool for pulling you out of sticky situations in conjuction with the loader, or your foot on the reverse pedal :D

never rolled my 23, this is my front yard, about 70 feet and steep. I cut this either up and down or diagonally. While i have gone side to side with the 23, this not something I want to do regularly.

Got stuck once when the dipstick operator ran over a drive way border in the snow, it was either down hill and no control or dig it out, put in boards and drive backwards.

the only time feels like i could roll it was when I hooked a chain to the bucket and curled the bucket to the point where it pulled the back end off the ground and the front end swung around quickly[ it pivots] very uneasy but i have learned what not to do

Tractors are a wonderful piece of equipment. Most of the time they can push themselves out of almost any situation. I am a very big fan of toothbars. I do not run a hoe on my tractor because I use the 3 point feature most of the time. I have used my loader to push myself out of situations sinking the teeth and curling the bucket and push my self out. Just use some common sense and you will be fine. Use your seat belt every time you use your tractor just to keep you in the seat. The more you use it the better you will become with it. Your going to love playing with this thing. I am still in total amazement of what I can do every time I get on it. It is without any question the best investment I have ever made. The best any of us can say is Be careful, Have fun, and Take lots of pictures because we love pictures. Never worry about asking to many questions or dumb questions. All of us hear have things we don't understand and this is the place to ask.

Stuck?
Ok first of all you are not stuck if you can get out with the fel and backhoe, you are simply delayed:D:D
I got my BX23 in mire up to the frame. Took a 4wd toyota to get me out.
It was one of those time when you look and say to yourself "I can probably make it ok" I shouldn't have listened to the idiot. No amount of backhoe/ fel manipulation would get it out.

Pretty hard to imagine having a tractor without a [subframe mount] backhoe ... well, I can't imagine that scenerio. Glad I have one that continues to get more work done than I could have ever imagined :)

Still trying to find a need for a toothbar in my rock infested, DG (decomposed granite), heavy clay environment. If/When I find the need, I'll make one of my own design. So far skillful use of my FEL, 3PH attachmentes, and BH have served me well :)

I once almost tipped over towing some logs backwards with a chain wrapped around the front loader. I had to go back into the woods a few feet so the chain was about 4' longer then necessary-I took up the slack by raising the bucket to get the front of the logs off the ground. I backed over a boulder moving up hill, raising one rear tire, the load swung the opposite way and it started over. Dropped the bucket-cussed a bit and shortened the chain. Won't do that again on purpose.

I often get in trouble crossing ditches with box grader installed. The front tires hit the soft bottom of ditch, the raised boxblade digs into the bank. I have had to shovel dig some clearance a few times to get free.
A Kabota is more fun to play with then a sports car though.

One of the first pucker events on my 2200: I was moving a small sailboat on a trailer. This was prior to having a hitch centered in the bucket. I wrapped a light chain around the trailer tongue, and hooked it in ONE of my bucket hooks, on the left side.

Started backing up. Had the FEL up quite a bit to raise the jack stand off the ground.

What I didn't see was the the aft trailer rollers had about 8" of bolt sticking through the trailer frame. With the tongue way up, these 5/8" bolts were dragging 6" in the ground.

As I continued to back, looking over my shoulder, I didn't see the boat stop. When the chain tightened, the FEL started tipping the tractor. Since I was in 2WD, as soon as the right wheel came off the ground, my progress stopped.

I've analyzed that a lot, and never will tow from one side of the bucket. I'll try to always be in 2WD while backing. And I'll watch BOTH the load and the rear in that situation.

LOL, somebodies gonna get in trouble if somebody else see's this post :D :D

With no FEL or BH mounted my BX23 is less tippy then any other machine I've owned. This includes riding mowers.
That said, adding an FEL redistributes the center of gravity higher which makes it more top heavy hense more tippy. Adding a load to the FEL makes even more top heavy. Adding the BH to that and the center of gravity is very high.
Likes been said, when traveling with the FEL, keep it low no matter whether it's loaded or not as this will keep the center of gravity lower. When traveling with the BH, reduce your speed even more and be careful on rough uneven terrain.
The more the load, the higher the probability of tipping.
Just be careful and enjoy

Pic number 2 shows your home. It's beautiful.
