Curlydave is another that hasn't posted for some time... he was a great help to me with my JD110...

So it looks like his interests moved on and or he got busy as his little girl got older and just didn't have time to post and then I guess just quit coming to look or anything.

I think the hiatus I was talking about was several years prior to his last log in. I'm thinking 2011-13 ish? But time flies and everything becomes a wash.

Diamond Pilot is gone? Probably cause he always got into arguments about trashing GM.

Jinman is gone I remember reading his posts over the years

How about FWJ / or K Sweet ? Nothin is forever . Been many others also . Some by tragedy(accidents) / passing on , and of course others by choise .

I ran across an old post from JJ today. Don't believe he's been around lately, either.

Yep remember Ken as well. And FarmWithJunk. I have noticed neither has been around. Read many informative posts from both over the years.

JJ posted a while back that he was changing his concentration of activities and left some contact info if anyone had hydraulic questions and such. :)

Thank you, MossRoad. I must have missed that post.

Yeah, you can look up his posts. Back in March he made a post quashing the rumors of his demise. He was quit alive, doing well, and getting into CNC routing and engraving. Neat stuff.

We need a "Machining" or "Machine Shop" sub forum. No reason to loose that guy!!

Maybe that's not how it works, but it makes me feel better.

I'm 37, been here more than 10 years though.
What a coincidence. I was 37, too.

Before you were born!

:)

... and in realty you have more years working with equipment than I do. I had driven tractors in harvest season as a teen. Then hadn't been on one (just a lot of offroad 4x4 adventures) until years later after I retired and bought the Yanmar.

I don't necessarily know if that is true? First tractoring I did, I was in college. I would say it would of been when I was 18-20, I just don't remember the exact year. I would occasionally run my uncle's tractor. So if we call it 20, it's been 17 years since I first drove one. But that said I didn't run one regularly till I bought mine in 08.

I am thinking you got your 240 in early 00s so we should be close to the same amount of years, but I bet you have more seat time than me, once my first few years were very sparse.

Similar seat hours, then. When I first got the orchard I put in quite a bit of time getting it back in shape. Took out stumps, subdued blackberry jungle that had made whole rows of trees disappear, trenched new septic and plumbing systems. After that, not as many hours per year.
