After our government asked for some help to the European Union, Spain, France, Italy and Morocco responded with 2 Canadair planes each. Spain also sent a special emergency brigade. Really welcomed help.

The temps also dropped a fair amount, that alone is a good help too. Hopefully, the rain does come in the next few days. There is still a lot of fires going on and exhausted firefighters everywhere.

The last two days have been hair pulling days, been researching new front tires for my Branson 8050 it has Titan Hi-Traction lug 8 ply 11.2-24's on her now.
They are starting to split in the center on one. And Titan has lost a lot of faith in our area the last few years.
It looks like I finally narrowed it down to either a BKT Ridemax or an Alliance Multiuse 550, 300/80R24. Got to call a couple of places Monday and see were I go from here.
Not looking forward to those calls.$$$$$$$

Dug out my york rake and pulled many of the leaves currently on the driveway off. About an hour of puttering around on the 8050.

Yesterday, I turned over and mixed two piles of homemade top soil.
Some time back i had a cylinder leak down test performed and found out my hydraulic spool/ controller is bypassing on the bucket circuit. Looking for options and/or a replacement.

Surplus Center and Summit Hydraulics, both have good selection of valves in the 8 to 10 GPM range.

You'll have to figure out the fittings/adapters and check if your current valve has 6 or 7 hoses. If 7 hoses, you need to order the proper Power Beyond fitting for the valve you get.

You can even get a 3 spool valve (joystick + 3rd lever) to get a third function.

Tonight I split the last wood for the season and put the splitter away in the barn... and then blockaded it with four totes of firewood (split years ago, very well seasoned)

and brought two to my tote shelter next to the house

The past couple years that I've had totes I've tried to maintain two in the barn to keep them fully dry as a staging area but tonight decided to see if they'd fit stacked and they do. Not sure if when I grab the first two, will I rotate the next two out so that I can put two possibly damp ones in behind them... we'll see - depends a lot on whether it's very cold, six totes may be sufficient. Also the past two years when I moved damp totes into the barn the wood was pretty nicely dry by the time it got brought to the house.
