used bucket to yank a cub cadet 46" mower deck in air so I could replace all 3 spindle assys and blades on it. had to do spindles cause blades would not come off spinle even with a torch.
fwiw I HATE cub cadet mower deck assemblies. talk about fking retarded setups....
I mean why the hell would you NOT have your drive belt from engine being centered, nope cub cadet makes the belt come from left side to electric pto. fking retarded.
oh well, its not mine.
sad thing is I got another to work on next week.

That's how I do mine too when changing blades. At first I used straps like in the pic, but now I just drive the front wheels into the bucket and haul it up that way.

Did the full service on the Massey yesterday. MAN, you guys are so right about that suction filter, I shouldn't have even screwed with it! I was wondering why it was so hard to screw it out, the first few threads were all wrecked. Luckily, I was able to just break them off, and it seemed alright still, and the thing screwed back in w/o problems.

Guys, what's the deal with changing the fuel filter, bleed the line or nah?

Agco's youtube vid (click on that if you like annoying music) for the GC shows no bleeding involved...just turn off the shutoff valve at the filter housing, drop the old filter, put the new one in, turn the valve back on, good to go. That's what I did a few years ago, haven't had any problems.

But yesterday when doing that whole maintenance thing, I looked up fuel filter change in the manual, and they got you bleeding the line in 2 spots. I remembered Redneck Ed's youtube vid showing that as well.

Then I saw 2 other youtube vids of massey owners, and they don't bleed the line.

So what's the correct way, or does it even matter?

Did not bleed the line and was fine. Maybe some people need to do that if there is too much air let in?

done service on GCs 2400,1710,1723,1725m and all I had to do was shut fuel off, replace filter, turn fuel back on and wait a second.
on the MF1532 I do have to bleed.

Yeh, I swapped out that filter yesterday w/o bleeding, it's fine. What I did do though is fill up the housing with fuel before screwing it on, to minimize air in there.

Going to be changing out the hydraulic fluid & filter sometime soon. Keep reading about the suction filter issues with cross threading. Any tips or tricks anyone can pass along before I start? Thanks in advance.
