Not to pick on you but there really isnt any reason for removing safety equipment like the ROPS. I didnt catch that when I looked...thanks for pointing out. Going further I will not be acknowledging posts and threads where people posts things in an unsafe manner-like removing ROPS.

To each their own.

To each their own.

I agree "To each their own" Rops would be ok IF the hinge wasn't up so high. Useless up as high as it is - can't clear overhead obstacles when need to.

Yeh I agree, man.

KC, answering you, you know I did that seat upgrade so that I could just flip the seatback down and sit facing the backhoe. I was wanting to see how much easier it would be without the rops in the way. I must say, it was really nice, just raised my legs and spun around as you see in the video I made. But it just felt unsafe to not have the rops up, and also seems kinda dumb to remove that for the sake of a couple seconds literally of climbing over the seat. So they're back on.

Speaking of rops anyways, I keep forgetting to wear my seatbelt with it. Which leads me to my next point...doesn't that seat belt suck? It ratchets up with every bump and then I have to release it and put it back on. I'm wanting a seatbelt that doesn't ratchet, anybody swap for one, or find some other solution?

Thanks for explaining Gene.

I guess I never thought about that on my GC as I have a hard sided cab just inches in front of the ROPS.

The rear of the cab is open for backhoe operation using the seat and in the winter there is a clear plastic soft panel that Velcro's in place.

About the seat belt tightening up, it does not do that for me as I'm disabled and I go slow enough in areas of my property that I only rock a little back and forth.

GeneV, where did you get that seat. So much better than swiveling.

Just be careful how you load winch, remember you only have a small battery and alternator.... Probably should add a volt meter to save getting caught out on back 40 with dead battery....
