What is the cold starting like on the Yanmars with direct injection

I was expecting to hear the hydraulics screaming but haven't had that happen. I don't touch it for 3 or 4 minutes then start easing into movement of the cylinders then move off with steering maneuvers. No screaming. engine stays below 1200 RPM for at least 5 minutes but no full throttle stuff until temp gauge is almost up to normal. I am a bit hard of hearing so maybe it is screaming a bit. I hear all sorts of other noises though.
